The
admission process at NYCOM/Saint Barnabas Hospital is conducted as fairly as
possible. The program is currently approved for a total of 3 positions with one
resident starting each year. The program does not participate in any match
process.
To be eligible for a Dermatology residency, you need to complete one year of
clinically based training. The AOA mandates a one year, non-linked, traditional
rotating internship program, during which you will need to make a separate
application to our dermatology residency program. This program is not linked to
any internship or fellowship programs.
An
invitation for interview should not be construed as an offer of acceptance.
Furthermore, due to the high volume of competitive applicants, those who rotate
with our program are not necessarily guaranteed interview invitations.
However, applicants are strongly encouraged to complete a
rotation with the program.
We
recommend that you begin compiling your application materials as early as
possible. You may find that you need 2-3 months to gather and produce all your
information, due to dependence on school & hospital personnel and letters of
recommendation. Unfortunately, there can be no exceptions to the application
deadline.

Have graduated from an AOA accredited college of osteopathic medicine
