About Us
St. Barnabas Hospital is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian, acute care community hospital and Level I Trauma Center located in the heart of the central Bronx. The expanding St. Barnabas healthcare network provides high-quality inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical, mental health and dental services throughout the Bronx.

  • State-designated Regional Trauma Center, authorized to treat the most critically ill and severely injured patients.

  • Child Advocacy Center: Provides multi-disciplinary forensic interviews and diagnostic evaluations for children who are suspected of being abused or neglected; provides community education to ACS, Police Departments, Schools and other community providers.

  • Adolescent medicine and teenage prenatal care

  • Mobile mammography unit to reach more than 1000 Bronx women annually for breast screening

  • Midwifery services for family-centered childbirth

  • State-designated AIDS Center featuring comprehensive medical care and case management. In addition, we provide perinatal services for HIV+ women and newborns

Fordham-Tremont Community Mental Health Center

  • 19 programs for children and adults, case management for forensic mentally ill clients, psycho-educational program for batterers; day treatment program for MICA clients, therapeutic nursery, special programs for victims of family violence and crimes, employee assistance program and critical incident debriefing team;

  • Mental Health Services for Latin American immigrants

  • Psychosocial club for the elderly

  • Wellness and Recovery Club

  • Programs deliver more than 160,000 visits annually

 

St. Barnabas Nursing Home

  • On hospital campus with shared clinical resources

  • Bilingual staff

  • Certified by NY State to care for ventilator dependent patients

Graduate Medical Education
