The St. Barnabas Mobile Mammography program brings vital women’s health outreach, information and screening to women in the Bronx. St. Barnabas offers the only Mobile Mammography Van unit that is Bronx-based and Bronx-dedicated. Mobile Mammography services, including printed materials, are available in English and Spanish.

The St. Barnabas Mobile Mammography program provides women of the Bronx with comprehensive, quality healthy breast education, clinical breast examinations, mammography and follow-up diagnostic services by reaching out to the community on the Mobile Mammography Van. Staffed by a physician’s assistant and peer educators, the van makes scheduled trips to neighborhoods and events organized by community-based local civic organizations, senior centers, women’s groups, houses of worship, and other public and private agencies.

From 2005 to 2006, more than 2500 women received breast cancer screenings and education from the St. Barnabas Mobile Mammography Program.
