The Teen Pregnancy Clinic
offers pregnant adolescents personalized, confidential
prenatal care as well as a forum in which to discuss issues
specific to their situation.
Highly trained physicians,
experienced midwives, a nurse educator/lactation consultant, a
specialized prenatal dietitian, a social worker, and HIV
counselors staff the clinic. Specialists in obstetrics and
gynecology are also immediately accessible for referral or
consultation. Visiting pediatricians and dentists are also
available.
Depending of the patient’s
preference, the program assists adolescents with a number of
topics on an individual or a group basis. In group
educational sessions, adolescents, their partner, their
family, and their friends are all invited to attend and
contribute in a mutually supportive environment.
